My work is based on the urban/landscape of the Southeast. I have a background in both photography and sculpture which is reflected in how I approach my subject matter. Currently I am exploring alternative photographic processes such as cyanotypes and van dykes. I like to challenge the traditional practice of photography by pushing the posibilities of how it may be displayed.
I was born in Richmond, VA. I received a BA in Studio Arts from the College of Charleston with a minor in Art History. I have had art shown in all Blume shows, Kulture Klash 5 and will be included in an upcoming show at Redux. Currently I am heavily emersed in the local community.
Other ventures I am involved in include:
Production Team Go! is a project I started with a few friends to document radical community events. We have completed a full length film about a music festival that took place in a friends house and are releasing a second project in December. We are looking for more members so email me if you are curious!
Blume is a bi-annual art/music/dance party that aims to highlight the underground scene of Charleston. Check out our facebook page, blumeartshows.
Outer Space is a project brought to you by LLC. NOME exchange. We want to open a space that serves the community and inspires creativity. more information to come.
